Moving is a big deal for grown-ups—and an even bigger one for kids 😢. Whether they’re excited, nervous, or totally overwhelmed, involving them in the process can ease the transition and help them feel secure.
🎒 Give them age-appropriate responsibilities. Let little ones pack a toy box, or let older kids help label moving boxes.
🖼️ Talk about what’s staying and what’s changing. Kids thrive on consistency. Keep routines as normal as possible during the process.
🎉 Make it a memory. Take a few photos in their old room. Say goodbye to neighbors. Celebrate the move with ice cream or a new room decoration 🎈
🏫 Visit the new neighborhood in advance. Take a walk to the school, the park, or their new bedroom if possible. Familiarity eases fear.
